A holiday-home CCTV system should cover entrances, driveways, garages, side passages and vulnerable outdoor areas. Camera positions, night performance, recording retention, backup power and app security all matter.
We install Hikvision, Dahua and Tapo where each platform suits the brief. Permanent wired IP cameras and an NVR remain the stronger foundation for larger properties, while selected Wi-Fi or wire-free cameras can solve positions where cabling is impractical.

Connectivity, power and support determine whether remote access works
Remote systems fail when the internet router, Wi-Fi, PoE switching, recorder or backup power was treated as an afterthought. We plan those dependencies together and leave the installation documented.

Yes. DG Technologies configures supported CCTV platforms for secure remote live view, event notifications and recorded playback from a phone or tablet.
What happens if the holiday home internet goes down?
On-site NVR recording can continue independently of remote viewing when the local camera network and power remain operational. Remote access resumes once connectivity returns.
Can staff and contractors receive temporary access?
Depending on the selected access-control system, users can be managed through individual credentials, scheduled access or mobile credentials instead of sharing one permanent code.
